The FCPO - AAPC Canada is way more than the Longueuil's chapter!
In fact, the chapter of Longueuil is part of a large family composed of several other chapters spread all over Canada. To learn more about the different chapters of the FCPO - AAPC Canada Association, click on these links to their respective page. Consult them regularly for their schedule of activities.
The Association began in 1971 in the city of Los Angeles where police officers began to meet to study the Bible together. From this they founded the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO). Then in 1983, a Toronto-based police officer in Canada heard about the FCPO and decided to found the first chapter in Canada. Then in 2014, a police officer from Longueuil who was desperately looking for a group of christian officers to join, met the president of the FCPO - AAPC Canada and decided to open the first chapter in the Montréal area. It was therefore on March 21st, 2015 that this group composed of 8 christian officers was born. One year later, the same group grew from 8 members to more than 50. Today, the FCPO has hundreds of chapters in North America.

What We Believe In
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy. 3; 16-17 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work).
We believe there is only one God and one son, Jesus (1 Timothy 2; 5 - For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus).
We believe that all have sinned and that all are deprived of the glory of God (Romains 3; 23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God).
We believe that all will have to endure the judgment of God (Acts 17; 31 - For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead).
We also believe that Jesus is truly the Son of God (Matthew 16; 15-16 - But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God).
We believe that God sent him in His love to save us from certain death (John 3; 16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life).
We believe that Jesus is the only way to God (John 14; 6 - I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me).
We believe that we were saved and redeemed from sin by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross (Acts. 4; 12 - Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved).
We believe that the cross is our trust in our salvation (1 Corinthians. 1; 18 - For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God).
TO LIVE YOUR FAITH AT WORK
In the society which we live in, it is very hard to live its faith especially when we work in the public. In the United States it is common to see police officers in uniform at church or taking part in christian encounters like our group. It is not uncommon to see police officers publicly posting on social networks pictures of them praying for each other. The Bible teaches us in James 2; 26 that faith without deeds is dead. However, how are we supposed to live our faith and implement it in our community if our society decides that the only place we can live it is in our home basement. Our group is precisely there for this reason; To help members grow in their faith while sharing their reality as peace officers with other colleagues.
