Salvation plan

The Bible teaches us that ALL, without exception, have sinned and that ALL, without exception, have been deprived of the glory of God as well as eternal life:

Romans 3; 23-26

"For all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God; and they are freely justified by his grace, by means of the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. It is he whom God has destined, by his blood, to be, for those who would believe propitiatory victim, to show his justice, because he had left unpunished the sins committed previously, at the time of his patience, to say, I, to show his righteousness in the present time, so as to be just while justifying the one who has faith in Jesus"

Some people, however, believe that because they are good people, they will go to heaven anyway since God will have regard to their person. However, the word of God confirms to us that God does not have regard to anyone but that they treat ALL of us equitably:

Acts 17; 31

"Because he has set a day when he will judge the world according to righteousness, by the man whom he has appointed, which he has given to all a certain proof by raising him from the dead"

Romans 2; 11

"For before God there is no acceptance of persons"

Romans 3; 10b

"There is none righteous, not even one"

2 Corinthians 5; 10

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive according to the good or the evil that he has done, being in his body"

Then the Bible clearly states that Jesus is the son of God:

Matthew 16; 15-16

"And you," said he, "who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered: You are the Christ, the Son of the living God"

Matthew 25; 31

"When the Son of man comes in his glory, with all the angels, he will sit on the throne of his glory"

And that the Son of God have the power to redeem us from death so that we ALL have access to eternal life:

John 3; 16-17

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but to save the world through him"

John 3; 36

"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God dwells on him"

John 4; 14

"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst, and the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water that will flow into eternal life"

John 6; 40

"My Father's will is that whoever sees the Son and believes in Him, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day"

John 14; 6

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"

John 17; 3

"But eternal life is that they know you, you, the only true God, and the one you sent, Jesus Christ"

Acts 4; 12

"There is no salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved"

Romans 6; 23b

"But the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord"

1 Corinthians 1; 18

"For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who perish; but for us who are saved, she is a power of God"

2 Corinthians 4; 14

"Knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and make us appear with you in his presence"

1 John 4; 8-10

"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. God's love has been manifested to us in that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we may live through him. And this love consists, not in that we have loved God, but in that he has loved us and sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins"

How to obtain salvation? By recognizing that we are ALL sinners and deprived of His glory, that Jesus is the son of God, that He died for our sins and that by His resurrection we are saved:

John 5; 24

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not in judgment, but has passed from death unto life"

Romans 3; 28

"For we believe that man is justified by faith without the works of the law"

Romans 10; 9

"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"

Romans 10; 13

"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"

1 John 2; 24-25

"What you have heard from the beginning abides in you. If what you have heard from the beginning abides in you, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father. And the promise he made to us is eternal life"

1 John 4; 15

"He who confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God"

Others will wonder why they would want their salvation? Simply to be able to save their soul from hell for eternity:

Daniel 12; 2

"Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some for everlasting life, and others for shame, for everlasting shame"

Mark 8; 36

"And what is it for a man to win everyone, if he loses his soul?"

John 12; 40

"He who loves his life will lose it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for everlasting life"

Romans 6; 23a

"For the wages of sin is death"

Galatians 6; 8

"He who sows for his flesh shall reap corruption from the flesh; but he who sows for the Spirit will reap from the Spirit eternal life"

In closing, many, knowing their dark past, will wonder if God can really forgive them completely? The answer is yes! There is nothing you could not do in your life that was not forgiven when Jesus was sacrificed on the cross. We will never be too far away for God to come back to us and He will do it simply because He loved us first:

Isaiah 59; 1

"No, the hand of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too hard to hear"

Romans 5; 8

"But God shows his love for us, that when we were still sinners, Christ died for us"

1 John 4; 19

"For us, we love him because he loved us first"
